Overview
In Barcelona, the public transportation network follows the "curb-free" example set by the city's public spaces, meaning that people in wheelchairs or strollers can easily roll on and off the metro and public buses. In addition, most metro stations have elevator access and flat, open floor plans. One can hail an accessible taxi with relative ease with enough notice, however, there are a limited number dispersed throughout the city, so public transportation is usually the way to go if possible.
